During this period we lived on our farm in Virginia. I worked on drawings for a year and then started the paintings. Only a few of the paintings are actually based on specific drawings. I could not seem to integrate the two. The drawings analyze the space, the paintings interpret the space in terms of color. We spent eleven years creating the buildings and gardens on our farm. These paintings and drawings are my way of coming to terms with what we had accomplished and then letting it go.
